As if we needed another indicator of the bad decisions made by the Redskins organization during the draft, The Bleacher Report has us covered. In today’s case studies on the best and worst drafting organization in the NFL, the Redskins are bringing up the rear at #30 out of 32.  Only the Raiders and Rams are worse according to the report – which is horrible company to be associated with these days. To start, taking only two offensive tackles in the past five years, both after the Top 90 picks, will really hurt your future, more than even busting on a quarterback.

They have found success in drafting defensive backs, with guys like Carlos Rogers, LaRon Landry, and Chris Horton developing into starters. But when it comes to other playmakers, they really are lacking.

Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly don’t look the part of starters, Rocky McIntosh has been up and down, and Jason Campbell hasn’t been given the tools or consistency to be successful.

The Redskins only chance at success is to build through free agency until their drafts can catch up and somehow draft a left and right tackle immediately.

Of course the offensive line goes without saying, and Jason Campbell still somehow fits in the “Jury’s Out” section of pubic opinion.  It’s like the ultimate chicken or egg scenario there between the line and QB, and so let’s just leave it alone for now.

On a bright note — Brian Orakpo is going to be a star and the report casually leaves him out of the mix.  Also for the record, Malcom Kelly could very well be a starting threat for the Redskins is the ball was thrown in his direction more instead of the tight end.  Speaking of which – Chris Cooley?  HELLO!?!?
